In Benin, the average household spends more than 40% of its total budget on out-of-pocket health expenses each year.

Catholic Relief Services and partners piloted a health microinsurance product and delivered it through savings groups in Benin. We introduced a digital solution to improve efficiency and scalability. This document evaluates the project's ability to increase access to health services among rural households.

My Skills, My Money, My Brighter Future in Rwanda: An Assessment of Economic Strengthening Interventions for Adolescent Girls

To respond to the OVC crisis in Rwanda, CRS and our Caritas partners implemented a five-year program that provided caregivers and children a range of services: education support, health care and HIV education, protection, psychosocial support, food security and nutrition assistance, and economic strengthening. Interventions examined here include vocational training, savings and internal lending communities, biointensive gardens and small-animal husbandry.

Review of MAGI Assessment Experiences in South East Asia

Documents the findings and lessons learned from eleven CRS-managed MAGI organizational assessments of partner microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Southeast Asia during 2003 and 2004. The MAGI tool was developed at CRS to assess the institutional strengths and challenges facing MFIs and is an integral part of the CRS LINKS organizational learning/capacity strengthening process for partners. The report goes on to discuss components for institutional strengthening plans based on the MAGI findings.
