Using "Love Letters" to Increase Male Involvement in Antenatal care

Love Letter is a practical, scalable method for increasing male involvement in antenatal care (ANC). It involves providing a formal, individualized invitation to men, asking them to attend ANC with their wives. It has been successfully piloted in Malawi, increasing the number of pregnant women attending ANC with their husbands from 7 percent to 33 percent during seven months of implementation. This 12-minute audio-recorded presentation provides implementation guidance.
