To help mothers in rural Malawi access HIV counselling and antiretroviral therapy, the Ministry of Health works with health surveillance assistants to provide information and counseling to HIV-positive mothers during a series of home visits and has developed a manual to assist them in providing care. This brief discusses the development and rollout of the application, the challenges experienced while using this application, and tips for implementation.
