CRS ICT4D Conference: Mobile Services that Empower Vulnerable Communities

In March 2013, Catholic Relief Services held its fifth conference to explore how information and communications technology can be used for development. The conference in Accra, Ghana, focused on mobile services that empower vulnerable communities. Scroll down to browse the presentations.

The event drew more than 220 participants—including CRS staff from around the world, technology solution providers, local government, other development practitioners, donors and local media—from more than 100 different organizations. More than 300 people attended the opening ceremony.

The event followed previous CRS ICT4D conferences in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2012; Lusaka, Zambia, in 2011; and Nairobi, Kenya, and Washington, DC, in 2010.
