Local and Regional Procurement Learning and Knowledge Sharing Workshop

Monday, November 14, 2011
8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Waterview Conference Center, Arlington, VA

Please join TOPS and the Learning Alliance for a day of learning and sharing on the topic of Local and Regional Procurement (LRP) food aid programs. The program will include an overview of recent USAID and USDA funded LRP projects and a presentation of findings from Cornell University’s analysis of Learning Alliance LRP activities. The program will also include breakout sessions to discuss food quality and market analysis concerns, how LRP can enhance emergency response, links with Title II programs and the use of LRP as a disaster risk reduction strategy.

To RSVP for this event, which includes a light lunch, please register here. Registration is limited, so please RSVP by November 8. For questions, please contact Toishia Powell at Toishia.Powell@crs.org.

The Local and Regional Procurement Learning Alliance is a collaboration between Cornell University, Catholic Relief Services, Mercy Corps, Land O'Lakes and World Vision, working together to coordinate monitoring of price data to ensure that LRP projects do not negatively affect local and regional markets, and to coordinate data analysis among the various LRP projects.
